Two days ago, I get an email announcing the new Apple MacBook Air. Of course, I go to the Apple website to check it out and I download the ad. It’s a cool looking computer (although I’m never first one in on any technology; that’s really just being an unpaid beta tester) but the ad ends with a shot of the computer (left) and the word, "THINOVATION" along the top.

In light of my previous column about THINspiration, two feelings come to mind:

1. Wait a minute! I’ve got enough trouble getting attention to my websites and blogs by using creative and clever ideas! How dare you co-opt a clever term like "THINovation" when I could have used it.  (And let’s be honest, I need the money far more than Steve Jobs does!)
2. On second thought, you can have the term because I know a whole bunch of people are going to come out of the cyber woodwork and accuse you of inspiring pro-anorexia websites, just like they did to me.

Sure enough, I get Google Alerts every day on various topics. One of the terms on which I search is THINspiration (because of my main website: www.THINspiration.com, not because I’m a pro-ana). Well, sure enough, I get an alert yesterday bringing my attention to a blog where the author spends a lot of time discussing body image. I think she wrote an insightful column about words like Thinovation and how we are obsessed with all things thin. No problem there, however, in the comments section, one person writes:
